Sophie and her loyal assistant, Rhys.

Sophie Roncevich was born in London, England. She moved to Charlotte, North Carolina with her family when she was young and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Sophie’s passion for animals has always been strong.  She grew up going to her aunt and uncle's Ranch in Northern California. She loved exploring the woods, riding horses, and spending time with all the animals on the ranch. Her aunt, Natalie Stevenson, and uncle, Steve Miles, own and run One Day Dog Training. Sophie’s favorite thing to do (and still is) was go to work with Steve every chance she got to learn from him training dogs and changing lives. This is where her passion spark began. Throughout high school, Sophie would rescue at-risk dogs from the shelter, train them, and find them loving homes. Every chance she got, she was hands on with an animal. She felt connected to them in such a special way and knew this was her calling.

After spending as much time as possible at the ranch working with Steve, learning the skills, and training dogs, Sophie decided to formally start Sophie’s One Day Dog Training in Chapel Hill.  She made her way through professors and students dogs and word spread quickly.

It was always her dream to move to California and be close to her aunt and uncle. She decided to move to San Diego on a whim in 2021. She put her roots down and began forming the incredible family of dogs and their families that exists today. A. complete dream come true!

Once a dog lover, always a dog lover.
